For those people living in blisfull ignorance when thinking South Africa is now a politically stable country, and having no knowledge of the impact crime has had over the last 14 years I envy you.
Statistically when you live in the UK your chance of being murdered is about 3 in 100 000, being white. On comparison in South Africa the figure jumps to 310 in 100 000.
Statistics, just numbers. Quicly browsing through the stats for crime in SA doesn't reflect the life both black and white have to deal with in SA.
As a white boer living abroad, I have empathy and sympathy with all South Africans. Does it make me a racist if I choose to publicize the plight of my own nation more than other nations? If so, well I must be a racist.
